One advancement in technology that we have here at the Forest Park location, as well as the Saint Louis [South] City location, is we have a 3D CBCT X-Ray. This allows us to view every dimension of bone, essentially in a three dimensional manner, rather than just the 2D panoramic X-Rays.

So, our resident clinicians in here that do Root Canals, they utilize the 3D CBCT [X-Ray] to actually see the pathway of the nerve .

The way that the tooth is in the bone, a lot of times the 2D X-Ray misses the canal or misses an infected nerve.

So, with the technology that we have here, and with their ability to actually read the x rays, it's not very often that they're going to miss something; you know, if a tooth has three roots, they'll see it on the [3D] X-Ray.

If the three roots are sitting in bone and in a weird anatomy, they'll see it, so they'll know how to access those canals when they're doing the root canal procedure.
